Coby was born at the 6th of April 1957 and, as he daughter of a farmer, got infected immediately with the horse virus. Early on she began to undertake all sort of things with ponies and horses. She did jumping, carriage driving and dressage. After her marriage in 1978 with Arie van Baalen, she decided to specialize in dressage. Today, Coby is the general manager of Dressage Stable Van Baalen, she takes care of the training of both the riders and the horses and directs the office.

Coby about the motivation behind her work:
“It is a privilege when you can make a living out of your hobby. I think it is wonderful to pass on the knowledge and experience that I have accumulated over the years.”
