Zinni van Wittenstein bloodline
Following the advice of Arie van Baalen senior, great-uncle Kees Vervoorn bought the now legendary matriarch Zinni van Wittenstein (v. Luitenant). This mare, bred by the famous stud Van Binsbergen at Zoelen, is a daughter of the stallion Luitenant (v. Graaf van Wittenstein). Zinni’s mother was a sister of the preferent stallion Olaf van Wittenstein (v. L’Invasion). Zinni herself became regional champion multiple times.
Since Kees Vervoorn didn't have any children, Zinni's offspring was inherited by his cousins Arie van Baalen and Gerard Vervoorn. In their hands, the damline of Zinni van Wittenstein flowered en produced many sporthorses.
Some international top dressage horses that originated from Zinni are: Inspekteur (Darwin x Amor), Habibi (Ulft x Onyx), Finesse (Aktion x Onyx), Pasternak DVB (Gribaldi x Cocktail), Nadine (TNC Partout x Roemer), Zigeuner DVB (Gribaldi x Ehrentusch), Waldemar (Negro x Inspekteur), Bløf (Uptown x Inspekteur) and Elton John DVB (Jazz x Fidermark).
One of our current breeding mares, Doornroos DVB (Gribaldi x Ehrentusch), is also a descendent from the Zinni van Wittenstein damline.
